A proud day for North Dorset! Simon Hoare MP, joined by Councillors Sherry Jespersen, Carole Jones, and Steve Murcer, officially opened the newly extended North Dorset Heritage Railway track to Lambs House Bridge in Shillingstone.
Simon paid heartfelt tribute to the incredible volunteers and local businesses whose dedication made this project a reality. "Their tireless efforts have brought new life to our railway heritage".
The celebration was made even more special as it coincided with the 200th anniversary of passenger train services—a fitting milestone for a community that continues to honour its rich transport history.
