Yesterday Bob Walter MP returned to the flood-hit village of Milborne St Andrew, near Blandford Forum, to see how residents are coping and what impact action taken by the County Council yesterday has had.
On Friday, 7th February, Bob Walter MP paid a return visit to Scope’s services in Gillingham, Dorset, to meet staff and hear more about what the charity is doing to support people in his constituency with disabilities.
Bob Walter MP and Julie Girling MEP for South West of England and Gilbratar, will be hosting an Open Meeting on Friday 7th February 2014 at The Hall and Woodhouse Visitors Centre, Blandford. Doors open at 6.30 and the meeting will start at 7pm.This promises to be an interesting and informative evening.All welcome.
ROBERT WALTER MP welcomes the introduction of a new Community Hospitals Bill to Parliament, which he hopes will strengthen the future of these vital local care centres in North Dorset and across the country.
Bob visited flood-hit communities at Milborne St Andrew and Stourpaine on Friday, 10th January, to see for himself the impact of recent extreme weather and hear local views on what might be done to prevent or improve the situation in future.
This week Robert Walter MP has welcomed news that the people of Shaftesbury will benefit from a free bus service when the main Post Office closes for refurbishment next week, following concerns he raised about the gap in service.
